I recently was approached by the lovely people at Adore Beauty to give my top 3 beauty hacks that work while you sleep so I thought I would share with you what they are.
TIP ONE
I find candles are the best beauty sleep hack for me. I realised the reason I always feel so calm and sleepy at day spas is because of the smell. So after a bit of trial and error, I found the most amazing candles that are now always next to my bed. The smell alone makes me feel calm without even having them lit. My go-to is Lumira’s Glass Candle in Balinese Ylang Ylang.
TIP TWO
Lip balm is the last thing I put on before my head hits my silk pillow case (which is another one of my beauty hacks). My silk pillowcase has helped my hair feel softer and keeps my blow dry in tact; it also has helped my face feel amazing and not creased when I wake. But back to lip balm – Lanolips 101 Ointment has helped my lips stay hydrated, especially when I went to NYC, freezing temperatures and no cracked lips in sight!
TIP THREE
I find if I haven’t drank enough water during the day, my sleep is very broken. So as much as this isn’t a beauty hack whilst sleeping, staying hydrated throughout the day helps you get a good nights sleep.
BONUS TIP: The beauty Chef sleep inner beauty powder is a recent discovery whilst I sleep hack that I have found has helped waking up so early to workout a little more bearable and making me feel more invigorated.
It’s ingredients have been used in western herbal medicine to help with sleep and I mix a 1tsp of powder with coconut milk 1 hour before bed.
