Venice, Italy

Venice, Italy

More beautiful then words can describe or images can do justice. Love at first sight with the city on water.

EAT:

  • Al Covo : Beautiful service, menu and tradition are the reason its one of the hot spots to dine here.

  • Osteria All’Arco: Cicchetti is the star here with a rotating menu everyday and the perfect snack add a glass of wine and your good to go.

  • Acqua e Mais: Street food such as calamari served in paper cones that serve as a snack or a light meal on the go.

  • Boutique Del gelato: One of two gelato spots that we went to both just as good as each other.

  • Gelatoteca Suso: The ‘IT’ place for gelato with its SUSO logo wafer cones.

  • Vini da Arturo: Known for a celebrity hot spot when they are in town for the Venice film festival also known for its Pork chop.

  • Belmond Hotel Cipriani: This hotel is off the main Island of Venice and looks back into it. Watching Sunset whilst drinking bellini’s and dinner is a pretty special memory.

  • Gritti Palace if you are lucky enough to stay here then don’t leave it’s situated on the Grand Canal and breakfast and dinner are the peak times to go and worth every cent.

  • Harrys Bar: The original Bellini but be warned it’s about $34 AUD each.

DO:

  • Get lost in the streets roam around, don’t look at your watch just explore every corner brings something new.

  • Gondola ride: Yes it’s gimmicky but if you have a friend or someone special to do it with it’s worth it for the experience. About $110 Euro.

  • If you can hire a private taxi when you land in Venice if it’s your first time such a beautiful memory to have with a loved one. About $110 Euro.

  • Explore the other Islands such as Burano, Murano and Torcello
