24 hours in San Francisco

Landed at 9AM, we hit the ground running, 24 hours in San Fran was a whirlwind.. You'd be surprised what one can get done within that time.

First up was to get our Convertible Ford Mustang which would be getting us around SF, Napa and Malibu for the next 5 days.

Now here is our guide to 24 hours in San Francisco:

Eat:

* We rushed straight from the airport to Mr Holmes Bakehouse for one of there famous doughnuts (See below)

* Word on the street was that the best Saturday Brunch was at  Park Tavern, so off we went. This place is super cozy, great for a boozy brunch. As it was Christmas time the place had a great atmosphere and was good for people watching :).

* We had booked an early dinner because we were off to an NBA game that night (courtesy of Shane) after much research before hand I landed upon Flour & Water and it was incredible! Quick note limited reservations for this place and they do allow walk ins but you will have to get here at 5:15 for 5:30 open. Hand-crafted Italian grub, including pasta & wood fired pizza, casual rustic space.

Do:

* Lombard Street is definitely a must and make sure to walk right up to the top. You can also hire scooters to drive down it if you are up for the twists and turns.

* Golden Gate Bridge is a no brainer we did this for sunrise before heading to Napa Valley. I would recommend this as there were no crowds early morning.

* My husband is a massive fan of the NBA and I would recommend it for the experience so go watch a Golden State Warriors game if you can. Great atmosphere & very entertaining.

* Cable Car ride if anything just to say you have done it, but be prepared to wait in a time consuming line, haha. Go to Union square for this.

* Fisherman's wharf was a fave spot and definitely want to explore this more next time.

* Getting around - We mainly walked around the city all day but if you need to get anywhere super quick remember you are at the birthplace of Uber. They are super friendly and efficient.

STAY:

* We stayed at the Hilton Union Square but to tell you the truth it was just a place to sleep and we only had 4 hours there after being out all day and getting up early to head to Napa the next day. It was very busy and a little run down.

* If you were staying a little longer I would go for the Fairmont or the ultra cute The Argonaut Hotel right on Fisherman's wharf (Loved this spot and will stay here next time)

This was a shot heading to Napa and one of the most beautiful experiences heading over the Golden Gate Bridge. It went to quick.

My Verdict: We ultimately were only in SF more like 17 hours than 24 however I felt I needed another day to explore a little more and see this beautiful city.

Next time I will definitely like to do Alcatraz, walk the Golden Gate, also just to walk around and explore more of the food scene that I have heard is so brilliant.

If you have any other recommendations food, accommodation, fitness or other please leave below for myself and my readers.

Until next time San Fran.....
