Boy after this trip I want to go back to Paris every year!
They say there is always time for Paris.
Paris has been on my bucket list for so long now it has always been a city that everyone has made out to be this magical romantic place.
Boy it didn't disappoint and I can't wait to go back. I thought I would share some pictures and some my top places that I would definitely go back to every time.
A GIRL OBSESSED MUST DO'S
EAT
Frenchie Wine Bar: This is the new wave of French Restaurants very similar to what we are doing here in Australia, Hole in the wall bars with amazing food and wine in a relaxed setting. Probably the best food I tried on the trip we went back to this place 3 times. Must HAVE the Lobster roll.
Cafe de Flore: This instutition is the place to be seen as well as its neighbour Les Deux Magots you will find yourself just staring out to the passing crowd whilst enjoying your fried eggs, coffee and the best hot chocolate ever. The pastries at both are essential.
L'Avenue: If you follow any celebrity especially during fashion week in Paris you will know this is a hot spot. It was one of my highlights just for the people watching alone and then we get to the lobster and fries with espresso martinis and pavlova and you have won my heart.
Ober Mamma : Definitely not want you think when you go to Paris to find an amazing Italian place that is so relaxed and has the yummiest cocktails you could imagine, these guys know their stuff and the pizzas out of this world. If you are in Paris for a week this is a good place to break up the Parisian experience and get you excited for Italy.
Cafe Marly: This location was surreal for me, I was actually quite emotional as I sipped my Rose the view of the the Louvre staring at me was so magical. This cafe is just as good as the view. My must have the King crab avocado salad and the strawberries and cream to finish. Just sit and take in the view.
Du Pain Et Des Idees : We saw this on an episode of Anthony Bordain and we were drooling at the screen so you can only imagine what we were doing when we got there. The smell and the look of everything just put us in a food coma right there and then. Please go to this bakery and you won't be disappointed.
Other top places: PNY (Burger heaven), Septime, Hotel Costes, Carette, Four Seasons Hotel (Breakfast and to see the amazing flower arrangements)
STAY:
THINGS TO DO:
My favourite monument is the Eiffel Tower but from a distance its quite crazy underneath but just seeing it peaking out when your walking around Paris is breathtaking.
*Louvre*Montmartre *Arc De Triomphe*Norte Dame*Champs-Eylsees
The gardens for me were the most amazing just walking around just taking in every bit of them was one of the most memorable experiences they are stunning. Jardin Du Luxembourg & Jardin des Tuileries.
YOU MUST DO THE ARC DE TRIOMPHE AROUND SUNSET!!
Do a carousel ride ( you look like a big kid amongst the little ones but so fun) right under the Eiffel tower at night.
My Only regret is that we didn't get to venture out to Champagne thats on my HIT LIST for next time.
Have you been to Paris are any of these on your list? What are your go to places?
Until next time Paris. X
